Are you conflicted about some of the accusations leveled against Israel in the media, on campuses, at the UN or even at work? Do you know how to answer when Israel is accused of committing atrocities, of being a racist state?
The Community Relations Committee of MetroWest NJ (CRC) is launching a grassroots education and advocacy initiative called Step Up for Israel MetroWest to help prepare the community to counter assaults on Israel’s legitimacy. As a participant in this initiative, Synagogue of the Suburban Torah Center is offering a five-part mini course, co-sponsored by CRC, Hasbara Fellowships and Jerusalem Online University. This mini-course is an opportunity for members to unite with the greater MetroWest community in a common campaign. The mini course includes the following movies and discussions: Crossing the Line: an in-depth view of the anti-Israel movement on campuses. A State is Born: an examination of the validity of the creation of the State of Israel through an overview of its history.Israel and the West: a look at the common values and shared threats by Israel and the Western world. VIEWING: TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2012 AT 8:00 PM Searching for Peace: an examination of the peace process with special focus on the validity of the claims and desires of both Israelis and Palestinians.
