Sale of Chametz HOME 5785/2025

Please note that it is preferable to give a signed copy of the Sale of Chametz form to the Rabbi in person, so that a Kinyan Sudar can be made, as well as providing the signed document. You can download a copy of the form for printing HERE.
If that is not possible then please complete the form below and submit electronically.
I hereby fully empower and authorize Rabbi James Proops, or anyone else he may designate as a substitute in his stead, to sell and transfer before the coming Pesach all legal title to my "Chametz". Chametz is understood, but not limited, to mean any product made of barley, oats, wheat, rye, or spelt, or any mixture or derivative thereof, as well as any item having become questionable as to its content as defined in accordance with Jewish Law and Tradition. He may sell all Chametz and/or mixtures containing Chametz that are knowingly or unknowingly in my possession, or to which I have legal ownership or responsibility in whole or in part, including all transit goods which might be delivered to me during the period of April 11 to April 20 inclusive, to a non-Jew of his choice.
 
Chametz in my possession may consist of, but is not limited to the following:
♦ Baked Products  Baking Ingredients    Beer  ♦  Cereals  ♦  Condiments  ♦  Crackers  ♦  Frozen Items  ♦  Groceries  ♦  Liquor  ♦  Noodle Products  ♦  Chametz affixed to utensils etc.
The above items may be found throughout the premises listed as 'home', but are primarily found in:
Kitchen  ♦  Pantry  ♦  Freezer   ♦  Refrigerator  ♦  Liquor Cabinet  ♦  Dining room  ♦  Basement  ♦  Garage  ♦  Storage area  ♦  Children’s backpack  ♦  Office/business*  ♦  Business/school locker*  ♦  Other*

The buyer shall have, through the aid and cooperation of the Rabbi, free access to the Chametz and/or mixtures containing Chametz acquired by him. 

An exact assessment of the quantity and value of goods mentioned above will take place after Pesach. The buyer's deposit is to be paid to the Rabbi or his designate.

This authorization is made binding by my electronic signature, when given with the bill of sale, shall be considered as if I had actually signed the bill of sale.

This authorization is further legalized by Kinyan Suddar (Taking Hold of a Garment) and is also intended to conform to the criteria of secular law by use of any appropriate legal instrument available to achieve this objective.
